SIJHL announces Bill Salonen Cup schedule
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday the game schedule for the upcoming Bill Salonen Cup league championship series between the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners.
All games in their series will feature 7:30 p.m. CT start times with this best-of-seven match-up set to commence Friday at Dryden’s Memorial Arena.
The GM Ice Dogs will also host Game 2 on Saturday.
From there the series will shift to Cochenour Arena in Red Lake for Games 3 & 4, which will be held Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20.
If necessary, Game 5 is slated for Saturday, April 22 in Dryden.
The Miners would host Game 6, if it is needed, on Monday, April 24.
Should the series go the distance, Dryden Memorial Arena would be the site for Game 7 on Wednesday, April 26.
All SIJHL Bill Salonen Cup games will be streamed live online at HockeyTV.com.
The SIJHL winner will then advance to the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A Championship, May 2-6, in Trenton, Ont.
