English River’s Bryan Coulson named Dr. Tom Pashby Trainer of the Year Award recipient

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League would like to extend its heartiest congratulations to Bryan Coulson of the English River Miners for being named the recipient of the 2017-18 Dr. Tom Pashby Hockey Development Centre of Ontario Trainer of the Year Award.

This annual award signifies outstanding achievement in the area of safety and risk management and contribution to the HDCO’ Hockey Trainers’ Certification Program.

To be eligible for the honour, nominees must possess the following criteria:

* Must have attained Level 3 of the HTCP or equivalent training in the opinion of the HDCO member association.

* Must be a member of an Ontario Hockey Canada Branch/Division.

* May either be in a volunteer or professional capacity.

Coulson was earlier recognized by the SIJHL after earning league CCM Hockey First All-Star Team accolades at the Trainer/Equipment Manager position.

A selfless and dedicated volunteer, Coulson has wholeheartedly committed his efforts in serving the Miners in their trainer and equipment manager capacities.

“The SIJHL would like to congratulate Bryan on this well-deserved honour and recognition,” stated league commissioner Bryan Graham.

“The long hours he puts in every season is just a symbol of all the efforts the entire English River Miners organization provides every year, both on and off the ice,” added Graham.
