GM Ice Dogs’ Bracko repeats as SIJHL – CCM Hockey performer of the month

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Thursday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Jacen Bracko has been named its CCM Hockey performer of the month for January.

This marks the second consecutive month the 20-year-old Calgary, Alta., product has garnered the accolades as he also earned the laurels for his efforts back in December.

In 10 games in January, Bracko registered points in all of them while scoring 10 times and adding five assists.

He also supplied a trio of shootout tallies during the month in helping Dryden post an 8-0-2-0 record in the time frame.

Currently riding an impressive 15-game point streak, Bracko presently leads both the GM Ice Dogs and the SIJHL in scoring with 55 points in just 38 games having notched 31 tallies and providing 24 assists along the way.

Also earning consideration for the SIJHL’s CCM Hockey performer of the month award for January was Keighan Gerrie, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; Parker Simonson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Spencer Milne, (F) English River Miners; Mark Sanchez, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers & Jaedin Ness, (F) Fort Frances Lakers.

Performer of the Month; First and Second All-Star Teams; Top Defenceman; Rookie of the Year, Playoff MVP and the Gary Cook Memorial Award.
